At Litchfield we pride ourselves on our suspension knowledge and chassis understanding. All our reviewed performance upgrades have received praise for their handling so customers should feel confident that we can provide them with their perfect setup.
Our workshops are equipped with the latest suspension measuring and alignment technology and we have excellent working relationships with the best suspension brands on the market.
Our technicians own a number of BMW E46 M3s, which we have developed a variety of chassis improvements for, both enhancing road manners and track handling. These cars have regularly enjoyed testing around UK track events as well as frequent visits to the Nurburgring.
As well as providing incredible solutions for our customers each of the manufacturers below are a direct supplier to BMW and BMW Motorsport. Together with our unique setup and chassis components we can transform the dynamics of your road or track M3.
As with any performance car the level of feedback the driver receives through the chassis plays the most crucial role in confidence and enjoyment. Over time the key bushes that maintain good chassis control can corrode and perish. Powerflex have developed a range of replacement bushes that will both replace and enhance the original parts.

For a simple and straightforward upgrade we can install Eibach’s range of springs, anti-roll bars and spacers for the M3 which improve both handling and appearance.
The Eibach Pro-Kit springs help to reduce squat under acceleration by lowering the car's centre of gravity whilst giving a more aggressive look. This kit lowers the M3 by around 30 mm at the front and 20-25 mm at the rear.
Eibach Anti-Roll-Kit reduces body roll and allows critical fine-tuning of your BMW's handling characteristic.
For those drivers who want a faster road setup and who do the odd track day we would recommend the Bilstein B16 PSS10 suspension kit.
The B16s offer parallel mechanical setting of rebound and compression by a simple twist of a dial. Ten clicks clearly distinguish each setting, giving you the flexibility to find what setting works best for you in a variety of driving conditions.

For the more performance focused cars with frequent track days we'd suggest the KW clubsport variant 3s and for race cars we can fit the Moton WTCC suspension packages.
As well as providing incredible solutions for our customers each of these manufacturers is a direct supplier to BMW and BMW Motorsport. Together with our unique setup and chassis components we can transform the dynamics of your road or track M3.
The KW Variant 3 suspension has separate and independent compression and rebound damping options to allow experienced drivers to develop there perfect driving set-up. This system with its 3 individually adjustable components, allows adjustment of the compression of the damper in the low-speed range. The highspeed set-up, so decisive for driving comfort, has been preset by KW's engineers.
The Moton range of suspension has an exceptional motorsport pedigree and is aimed at race cars and serious track day enthusiasts.
Developed in conjunction with many professional racing teams all over the World the Moton 4-Way was used by Andy Priaulx to win the 2005, 2006 and 2007 FIA World Touring Car Championship.
These dampers feature separate low and high speed bump and rebound control. The 2 rebound adjusters (20 clicks each) are located on top of the piston rod and adjust completely independently from each other. The 2 bump adjusters are located on top of the reservoir. Low speed bump has 6 different settings whilst the high speed bump can be adjusted into 15 different settings by turning the large knob on top of the reservoir.
The Moton 4-Way dampers feature a unique double piston design. The primary large main piston has a double non-preloaded valve stack on it for bump and rebound control and is designed for quick response during the smallest movement of the piston. The secondary piston is designed with the use of a unique blow off valve system for high speed rebound control. The low speed rebound is controlled by adjusting an internal needle valve.
