We received our first Focus RS in April 2016 and immediately began the work developing our performance enhancements. In January 2017 we received our second new RS, which has allowed us to accelerate this process.
Living with the RS on a daily bases we feel we have produced a series of upgrades that will significantly enhance the car's many strong points and remove some of the frustrations.
We have tested our products on our in-house dyno as well as famous race tracks like Silverstone and the Nurburgring to insure we can provide the very best in reliable performance.
The Cobb Accessport V3 provides quick and easy access to the ECU as well as reflashing of the ECU back to standard, should the car require an update from the Ford dealer. It also provides remote assistance and updates from Cobb’s technical team
Accessport V3 features:
We are able to supply a wide variety of Milltek exhausts for the Focus RS, from EC approved cat-back to a full turbo-back de-cat non-resonated. All are available with four different GT-115 trim options - Burnt Titanium (£462.26 inc vat), Cerakote Black (£303.29 inc vat), Polished (£177.47 inc vat) and Titanium (£407.35 inc vat). There are two main cat-back exhausts, the EC approved resonated and the louder non-resonated version.
Additional to the catback systems there are five different downpipes, de-cat to Milltek (£216.83 inc vat), de-cat to OE system (£236.47 inc vat), ECE high flow cat (£1173.90 inc vat), Sport 200-cell cat to Milltek (£730.26 inc vat) and Sport 200-cell cat to OE system (£749.90 inc vat). Only the ECE high flow cat does not need a remap. For customers looking for more power and who will be remapping their RS's ECU we have the option of our higher flowing 100cell cat, as featured in our Stage 2 upgrade (£874.80 inc. vat).

Litchfield are also able to supply and fit Remus Wolf Inside Cat-back exhausts with integrated valves for the Focus RS. There is one tailpipe option, brushed stainless, at 76mm rather than the standard 70mm.
Litchfield has been working closely with world-renowned suspension manufacturer KW, to produce a unique suspension package to improve both the ride and handling of the Focus RS mk III.
Having our own development vehicles has allowed us to experience the standard car’s setup in daily driving, fast road and on track conditions. We felt we could significantly improve the ride quality and enhance the already superb track manners of the RS.
Designed from the outset to work with the RS’s switchable damper settings, the new Litchfield suspension kit will allow the driver to switch from the more comfortable road setting to the stiffer track setting in exactly the same way as the original system. However now the track mode has more compliance, allowing it to be more suitable for fast road driving as well as circuit work.
The development work included sending our MY17 Focus RS to Germany where the KW team could evaluate the original setup on the road and on their 7-post rig. This special F1-grade testing equipment, one of only 15 in the world, allows the engineers to simulate all kinds of driving conditions and suspension frequencies to fully understand the RS’ chassis. A team from Litchfield then flew over to test the first sample kit.
The car's comfort level is now much higher in the ‘Normal’ mode. The new damper and spring rates control the body movement superbly whilst allowing the tyres to find more grip under cornering and acceleration.
Switching into ‘Track’ mode still keeps a level of adjustment which means that it is able to ride bumps rather than skipping off them.
To refine the system further, KW have provided additional development kits featuring minor revisions following our road test feedback. We have begun testing these new revisions back to back on our two development cars to find the perfect combination that will be unique to the Litchfield suspension kit.
KW have begun to produce the key hardware for the initial order and we have signed off on the finished setup at the end of May, with production kits versions available late August. As such we are now taking pre-order deposits as initial production will be limited.

Wavetrac Limited slip front differential for the Focus RS 3. Massively improved front end grip when cornering, increased stability on braking and improved steering feel. This is a fit-and-forget differential that does not need specialist servicing and uses the standard oil.
The Eibach Anti-Roll bar kit help to keep body-roll at a minimum by controlling lateral and centrifugal forces. The result is improved handling and increased grip whilst cornering, especially during high suspension loadings experienced on track. The Focus kit uses 29mm front and 26mm rear tubular bars with 2-way adjustment on the rear.
As fitted our own car, KW 12.5mm hubcentric wheel spacers for both front and rear. Gives a 25mm overall track increase.
Powerflex have created a range of chassis support bushes for the Focus RS 3 in both purple (road biased) and black (track biased).
