This is our Volkswagen Golf MK8 GTi Clubsport demonstrator the perfect mix of practicality and performance.
The Volkswagen Golf Mk8 GTi Clubsport and represents the pinnacle of the Golf performance range has significant improvements over the regular GTi model. The GTi is already a legend in its own right, the Clubsport edition takes it to the next level with a range of impressive enhancements;
Increased Power: The GTi Clubsport boasts an upgraded engine with a larger Turbo, delivering even more power under the hood. With its enhanced turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, it produces an exhilarating 296 horsepower, compared to the regular GTi’s 242 horsepower. This boost in power translates into an even more thrilling and dynamic driving experience.
Performance Tuning: The Clubsport version features advanced performance tuning to optimise its capabilities on the road and track. It benefits from a retuned suspension system, offering improved handling, sharper cornering, and greater stability at higher speeds. The overall driving dynamics of the Clubsport are finely tuned to provide an engaging and sporty ride.
Aerodynamics and Design: The GTi Clubsport boasts an aggressive and aerodynamically optimised exterior design. It features a redesigned front bumper with larger air intakes, a distinctive rear spoiler, and a more prominent rear diffuser. These enhancements not only enhance the car’s visual appeal but also improve its aerodynamic efficiency, providing better stability and increased downforce.
Exclusive Interior: Step inside the GTi Clubsport, and you’ll be greeted by a host of exclusive interior features. The Clubsport features unique sport seats with integrated headrests, providing exceptional comfort and support during spirited driving. The steering wheel is wrapped in Alcantara leather, providing a luxurious and sporty feel. The interior is further accentuated with subtle Clubsport badging and other exclusive trim elements.
Track-Focused Features: The GTi Clubsport is designed with performance enthusiasts in mind. It comes equipped with a range of track-focused features, such as an upgraded braking system for enhanced stopping power, a sporty exhaust system for a more engaging engine note, and a front limited-slip differential (VAQ) that improves traction and handling in challenging conditions.
With its increased power, performance tuning, aerodynamic enhancements, exclusive interior, and track-focused features, the Clubsport edition delivers an adrenaline-pumping driving experience whilst retaining all the practality we love about the Golf range.
The Mk8 Golf features all the latest technology with lane assistance and adaptive cruise control. The large touchscreen has the VW’s advanced Sat Nav system along with Apple Carplay.
As our demonstrator we have naturally improved the car further with our suite of upgrades. Power is increased to 400bhp with our Stage 2 upgrade which sees our ECU calibration work combined with effective upgrades which allow the engine to breath more easily.
To allow the engine to consume cold air effectively we replace the original air box with the proven R600 intake kit and this is connected to a larger bore turbo intake pipe which removes the restrictive original item with a +10mm larger pipe with provides a smooth transition into the turbo. These provide a noticeable improvement in not only power but throttle response and turbo spool time. At the same time the addition of a catalytic convertor back exhaust system which helps reduce the back pressure the turbo works against whilst enhancing the sound and purpose of the engine under acceleration, all while maintaining emission standards.
The Clubsport also features our Nitron suspension kit to improve the ride comfort and handling. The suspension features Nitron’s NTR 2-way damping adjustment so the ride can be tailored to each driver. The car has also had our 4 wheel alignment for fast road use and precise handling.
To further compliment the handling performance of the car we have added Protrack high quality lightweight Motorsport alloy wheels. With the wider wheels (18”x8.0) and Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres on the Clubsport this wheel and tyre combination still reduced weight by 2kg per wheel of unsprung mass. These wheel provided a better offset and provide a 7mm wider track for improved handling and stability. The wheels now fill the arches more readily especially when running the car at a lower ride height. The Protrack wheels also feature a 5mm knurling on the circumference of the wheel to help secure the tyre in place under extreme acceleration and cornering.
To finish off the car we have protected the front of the car with Gyeon PPF which covers the bumper, bonnet and wings. The paintwork is also treated in Gyeon’s award winning Ceramic Coating to help keep it looking at its best.
This car has covered just 14,500 miles and comes with the balance of the Volkswagen Warranty and a 12-month warranty on the drivetrain from ourselves. If the buyer is interested, we have all the original parts so can revert it back to standard prior to collection at no cost.
