The Mercedes GT is the current top of the Mercedes AMG range and features the critically acclaimed 4.0 twin turbo engine which has a huge amount of untapped potential.
We are delighted to introduce our AMG 4.0T remaps that can now be programed through the On Board Diagnostic (OBD) port so more time can be spent on honing the calibration. It also means we can revert the car back to standard at any time by uploading the original file.
Our Stage 1 upgrade for the AMG GT, AMG GT S, AMG GT C and AMG GT-R turbo charged engines offers a massive increase in power and torque through its carefully re-calibrated ECU. Engine power increases to around 575bhp (+110bhp on the standard AMG GT) and torque increases to around 575lbft (+133lbft/180NM) which transforms the way the car drives.
The vehicle Speed Limiter is also removed as part of our Stage 1 calibration.
We take great care in ensuring we are able to provide the very best calibration rather than using a generic off the shelf file with hours of dyno time going into refining what we are able to offer our customers.
Our Stage 2 upgrade features our large bore down pipes with high flow sports Catalytic convertors. These new exhaust elements help the engine breathe more easily and combined with our ECU calibration free up a further 30bhp and 30lbft.
Not only do these downpipes release more power but these also transform the exhaust note into an epic roar on full throttle and a thunderous bark when revved. If only all turbo engines sounded this good!
Installation of our downpipes requires the removal of the gearbox so we require the car for more than one day.
The Evolution Line (Titanium) takes these cars to heightened levels of auditory excitement, enhanced performance, and stunning good looks, all with a perfectly sculpted exhaust made from ultra-lightweight titanium alloys that reduce the weight from the stock exhaust by over 46%. Finished with hand-crafted carbon-fibre tailpipes, this exhaust has a stunning soundtrack and that unique Akrapovič signature. The sound is controlled by a complex X-connection, cast in the in-house titanium foundry, with a precisely machined valve flap to alter the tones, which can be controlled with a console button inside the cabin or by the Sound Remote Controller of the optional Akrapovič Sound Kit. When the X-connection valve is open, the exhaust system delivers a more continuous, smooth, and harmonic sound for a more comfortable ride, and in closed mode the acoustics have been maximised to give the cars a pure sporty and intense muscle-car V8 roar. Power and torque levels are increased throughout the entire rev range. It is ECE approved, so no re-map or other parts are needed and it is a simple plug-and-play installation.
Fitting information for GT/GT Roadster models: the Evolution system only fits cars equipped with the AMG Performance exhaust.
